Globio, an ISB-funded startup, is bridging the gap between India’s skilled nurses and global healthcare opportunities. Founded by the Banani brothers—Imran and Avesh—and later joined by Yash Chamadia and Amit Bansal, Globio offers a comprehensive platform that addresses the challenges faced by Indian nurses seeking employment abroad. The platform provides language training, certification preparation, job matching, and relocation support, focusing initially on high-demand markets like Germany. By streamlining the process, Globio aims to empower Indian nurses with the tools and opportunities needed to thrive in international healthcare settings.
As developed nations grapple with significant labor shortages, particularly in healthcare, India’s young and skilled workforce remains largely untapped. Globio, an ISB-funded startup, is addressing this gap by facilitating the global mobility of Indian talent, with a focus on the nursing profession.
Co-founded by Imran and Avesh Banani, Globio emerged from their previous venture, Language Fluent, a language training startup. Recognizing that language proficiency alone wasn’t sufficient for international career transitions, they expanded their services to include certification preparation, job matching, and relocation support. Joined by co-founders Yash Chamadia and Amit Bansal, Globio was officially launched in 2024.
The platform’s initial focus is on nursing, given the acute demand in countries like Germany, which requires over 520,000 nurses by 2030. Globio assists candidates with language training for certification exams, credential verification, interview preparation, cultural integration, visa assistance, and job placement. By streamlining these processes, Globio aims to empower Indian nurses to pursue rewarding careers abroad, contributing to the global healthcare workforce.
